Indian smartphone maker, Micromax is all set to launch company’s first ever VoLTE-enabled feature phone – Micromax Bharat 1. If the reports are true, the company will soon launch Bharat 1 along with Bharat 2 in India. Micromax has also priced the phone at very competitively with Bharat 1 at Rs 1,999 whereas Bharat 2 at Rs 2,999.
As of this moment, there isn’t much we know about the specs of Bharat 1. But talking about specs of Micromax Bharat 2, it sports a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. There’s no mention of screen protection and considering the price, we can’t expect much. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum processor SC9832 clocked at 1.3GHz. It gets a 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card.
Coming to camera specs of Bharat 2, the device features a 2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front camera for capturing selfies. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs in a 1,300mAh battery. Of course, the battery is small, but we are speculating it to last a day considering the display size. The phone gets all the standard features such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5 Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Micromax Bharat 2 is a dual SIM phone and supports Micro SIM cards in both slots. It also gets a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
Earlier, there were rumours claiming that Reliance Jio might launch a VoLTE-enabled feature phone. The reports claimed the company is apparently working on a VoLTE feature phone with LYF branding and will get a pricing of Rs 1,299.
