Microsoft Surface Laptop 5, Surface Pro 9, and Surface Studio 2 Plus have been launched. The Redmond-based company announced all three devices at its annual October event. 

The Surface Laptop 5, Surface Pro 9, and Surface Studio 2 Plus arrive as the successors of their respective predecessors. The latest offerings come with a host of upgrades. Read on to know what the devices offer out of the box.

Microsoft Surface Pro 9 specifications

Beginning with the Surface Pro 9, it is a 2-in-1 detachable laptop with touch and stylus support. The device sports a 13-inch bearing a resolution of 2,880 x 1,920 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It features a high-quality aluminium casing and new colour options. 

The Surface 9 Pro is equipped with 2W stereo speakers along with dual far-field microphones. It features 10MP rear camera and a 1080p front-facing webcam. 

Under the hood, the Surface 9 Pro houses up to 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor. It packs up to 32GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB SSD storage. The laptop is also offered in ARM variant which is powered by Qualcomm SQ3 SoC with Neural Processing Unit. This one maxes out at 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Both variants support Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6E with the Qualcomm version also offering support for more options including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, nanoSIM, e-SIM, sub-6GHz 5G networks and LTE. 

The Intel version is claimed to deliver up to 15.5 hours of battery life whereas the 5G Qualcomm model is said to last up to 19 hours. 

Surface Laptop 5 specifications

The Surface Laptop 5 arrives as the successor to the Surface Laptop 4 with incremental upgrades. It comes in a 13.5 and 15-inch display bearing a resolution of 2,256 x 1,504 pixels. The laptop sports a metallic chassis and a 720p webcam. 

Internally, the Surface Laptop 5 13.5-inch variant is equipped with either a 12th-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 SoC. On the other hand, the 15-inch model is powered by only Core i7. Both come with Intel Iris Xe GPU onboard. The machine packs up to 32GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB SSD storage. Battery life on the 13.5-inch variant is rated at 18 hours while on the 15-inch option it is 17 hours. The Surface Laptop 5 features connectivity options like WiFi, USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB-A port, Bluetooth, a Surface Connect port, and a 3.5mm jack. 

Microsoft Surface Studio 2 Plus specifications

The Surface Studio 2 Plus is an updated version of the Surface Studio 2 that debuted way back in 2018. The latest offering retains the same design and looks as its predecessor. The upgrades are on the hardware front. 

The Surface Studio 2 Plus boasts a 28-inch Pixel Sense display bearing a resolution of 4,500 x 3,000 pixels and supporting sRGB and DCI-P3 colour spaces. There’s also support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It comes with a Surface Pen, Surface Keyboard, and Surface Mouse. 

The all-in-one Surface Studio 2 Plus is powered by an 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processor coupled with a mobile version of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 6GB GPU. There is 32GB DDR4 RAM and 1TB SSD storage. 

Microsoft Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop 5, Surface Studio 2 Plus pricing and availability

The Surface Pro 9 costs $999 (~Rs 82,289) for the Core i5 and $1,599 (~Rs 1,31,712) for the Core i7 option. The 5G variant starts at $1,299 (~Rs 1,07,000). The Surface Laptop 5 13.5 and 15-inch variants start at 999 (~Rs 82,289) and $1,299 (~Rs 1,07,000) respectively. The Surface Studio Plus carries a whopping price tag of $4,499 (~Rs 3,70,591). 

All three Microsoft computers start shipping October 25th.
