Microsoft Surface Pro 7 goes on sale in India, prices start at Rs 70,990

Microsoft seems to be planning to launch the Surface Pro 7 convertible in India soon. The company hasn’t yet announced an exact launch date for the device. However, it is being speculated to launch at the company’s Future Decoded summit event next week in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Ahead of the official launch, the Surface Pro 7 has already been listed on the brand’s Indian website. Also, Flipkart and Amazon have also started selling the convertible in the country at a starting price of Rs 70,990. The Surface Pro 7 was originally introduced at the Redmond-based tech giant’s event in October last year.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 can be used as a tablet as well as a full-fledged Windows laptop. The device comes with a built-in kickstand and a removable Surface Signature Type Cover. The convertible can be paired with a bunch of additional accessories including the Surface Pen stylus. The notebook has a 12.3-inch touch-enabled PixelSense display bearing a resolution of 2,736 x 1,825 pixels. The device can be paired with up to 16GB of RAM, up to Intel Core i7 processors, and up to 256GB of solid-state drive storage.

The Surface Pro 7 comes with Windows 10 Home and has Windows Hello face recognition functionality. The device has an 8MP rear-facing autofocus camera and a 5MP front-facing snapper. The notebook is fitted with dual far-field studio microphones and 1.6W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio support. In terms of connectivity, the convertible has a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.0 port, a Surface Connect port, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a microSD card reader. The hybrid is rated to provide up to 10.5 hours of regular usage on a single charge.

The Surface Pro 7 comes in four variants in India. The base variant as 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and Intel Core i3 processor, and it costs Rs 70,990. The most expensive variant has 16GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and the 10th-gen Intel Core i7 processor. This one will set you back by Rs 1,37,990. Lastly, the convertible is being offered in Platinum and Matte Black colour variants.
