Mobiistar XQ Dual and CQ Launched in India as Selfie-centric Phones in a Budget Price

New smartphone brands are entering the Indian market and with Mobiistar, a Vietnamese brand has ventured into this space. The brand has launched two new smartphones termed as the Mobiistar XQ Dual and Mobistar CQ. Both of them are selfie-centric phones and they will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting 30th May. The XQ Dual is priced at Rs. 7,999 whereas the CQ will cost you Rs. 4,999. Let’s take a look at what these phones have to offer.

Before proceeding with the specifications, one of the noteworthy things that Mobiistar has announced is for just Rs. 99, you get Complete Mobile Protection. This includes all kinds of hardware and software issues along with screen break and liquid damage. They also promise doorstep pickup and drop service. For a new brand, this is a much welcomed step which will establish trust among customers.

Mobiistar XQ Dual

The Mobiistar XQ Dual comes with a 5.5-inch display bearing a Full HD resolution. The pixel density measures up to 401 PPI and the display is protected by a sheet of Asahi Dragontail glass. It also has a 2.5D curved bend which offers a better user experience.

Talking about its cameras, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera on the back with an aperture of f/2.0. However, the highlight of the device is its front camera setup. There are two cameras on the front, the primary one is a 13-megapixel sensor whereas the other one is of 5-megapixels. Although there is no dedicated LED flash, the screen brightens up to offer a virtual flash for low-light selfies. A dual selfie camera phone at this price is really appreciable.

In terms of performance, the phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset. It is complemented with 3GB of RAM to ensure a decent level of multi-tasking and processing. The phone gets 32GB of internal storage and you can also expand it via external storage up to 128GB.

To power the phone, there is a 3000mAh battery unit which will last about a day on full charge. All the basic connectivity options are offered in the phone including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.

The phone draws its powers from a 3000mAh battery unit and will most likely last a day on full charge. Provided connectivity options are sufficient and include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and more.

Both the phones run Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box and we can expect an update to Oreo soon. Since these are budget smartphones and Mobiistar is a new entrant in the market, do you think they can compete with other renowned brands? Let us know in the comments below.
