Lenovo-owned brand Motorola has finally taken the wraps off the this year’s Moto E-series smartphones dubbed as Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. Similar to all other Moto device launched this year, both of these smartphones will also run the latest Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. The phones are launched and will soon be available for purchase in the US later this month. The Moto E4 carries a price tag of $129.99 (Rs 8,380), whereas the Moto E4 Plus is priced at $179,99 (Rs 11,605). The Moto E4 comes in Licorice Black and Fine Gold colour options, whereas the Moto E4 Plus comes in Iron Gray and Fine Gold colour options.
The smartphones get full-metal unibody design, water-repellant nanocoating, and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner which also doubles up as the home button. Talking about specs, the Moto E4 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 425 processor. The device gets 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. It boasts of an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. Up front, the Moto E4 flaunts a 5-megpixel snapper for selfies. The phone draws its energy from a 2800mAh non-removable battery.
The Moto E4 Plus, on another hand, sports a bigger 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top of the display. Underneath it, a Snapdragon 427 processor ticking at 1.4GHz along with 2GB of RAM runs the show. The phone also gets 16GB/32GB expandable storage. It mounts a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The Moto E4 Plus is loaded with a massive 5,000mAh battery.
Both of these Moto phones are 4G VoLTE-enabled and support Dual SIMs. As of now, there’s no word on the availability or pricing of devices in India.
