Motorola is gearing up for the launch of its next flagship phone, the Moto Edge+ (2023), which appears to have made an appearance on the Google Play Console. According to the listing, the phone will be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 12GB RAM, making it a formidable device in terms of performance.
The Moto Edge+ (2023) is expected to be a sequel to last year’s US-exclusive Edge+ (2022) and will come with a Full HD+ resolution display. The phone is also expected to run on Android 13 out of the box, presumably with the MyUX interface on top.
While there is no official announcement from Motorola yet, the Google Play Console listing provides some clues about the upcoming device. It is also rumored that the Moto Edge+ (2023) will launch as the US-version of the Moto X40, which was released in China in December 2022.
Motorola has been making a comeback in the smartphone market with its Edge series, which has been well-received by consumers and critics alike. The Edge+ (2022) was praised for its sleek design, powerful performance, and capable cameras. With the Edge+ (2023), Motorola is expected to raise the bar even higher and offer a premium device that can compete with the likes of Samsung and Apple.
As for the Moto X40, the Chinese version of the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor and features a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also comes with a triple-camera setup, including a 64-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It remains to be seen how much of these features will be carried over to the US-version of the phone.
Motorola has not yet revealed the launch date or pricing details for the Moto Edge+ (2023), but with the device making an appearance on the Google Play Console, it is likely that an announcement is imminent. Fans of Motorola and tech enthusiasts alike will be eagerly awaiting more news about the device in the coming weeks.
