Moto G 5G with Snapdragon 750G, 48MP triple cameras launched in India: price, specifications

Moto G 5G is Motorola’s most affordable 5G-enabled smartphone. Today, the Lenovo-owned brand announced the handset in India. It has arrived as India’s first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 750G chipset. The brand launched the Moto G 5G and Moto G9 Power in Europe earlier this month.

The Moto G 5G comes with a punch-hole display and a square-shaped camera module on its back to house its 48-megapixel quad-camera setup. The handset is packed with a huge battery and it runs a stock version of Android. In India, the smartphone will compete against the OnePlus Nord, which is currently selling as the cheapest 5G phone.

The Moto G 5G comes with a 6.78-inch IPS LTPS LCD panel with a top-centre aligned punch-hole. The screen offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and HDR 10. The chassis of the Moto G 5G has a water-repellent coating that protects it from water spills and splashes.

The Moto G 5G is driven by the all-new Snapdragon 750G chipset and 6GB of LPPDR4x RAM. For storage, it has 128GB of UFS 2.1 built-in storage and a microSD card slot. The phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W TurboPower fast charging. Motorola claims that the phone can last for up to 2 days on a single charge.

For snapping selfies, the Moto G 5G offers a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear-facing camera module of the smartphone features a 48-megapixel main shooter with f/1.7 aperture, a 118-degree 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens with 2cm focal length.

The phone runs Android 10 along with My UX, offering a stock Android experience. There is a dedicated hardware key on the device for accessing the Google Assistant and it has a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The phone comes with other specs like dual SIM, 5G/4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Moto G 5G price in India

The Moto G 5G is priced at Rs 20,999 in India and it comes in two colour variants like Frosted Silver and Volcanic Grey. Flipkart will be carrying out the first sales of the Moto G 5G from December 7th. Motorola is offering a Rs 1,000 instant discount on HDFC Bank credit cards and credit and debit cards EMI transactions.
