Moto G Stylus and G Power with Snapdragon 665 and punch-hole displays launched

Motorola’s G8 Power and G Stylus smartphones have been subject to a spate of leaks and rumours. The Lenovo-owned brand has officially unveiled the two devices as a part of 8th generation devices in the Moto G lineup. However, notably, the company has dropped the ‘G8’ moniker from the names, and the devices are now called the Moto G Power and Moto G Stylus. Both smartphones are mid-range offerings from the brand and share a few similarities in terms of specifications. This includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 4GB RAM, a 6.4-inch punch-hole display bearing full HD+ resolution, rear mounted fingerprint sensor and Android 10.

Moto G Stylus specifications and features

The Moto G Stylus is an affordable smartphone with a stylus pen

As the name suggests, the Moto G Stylus comes with a built-in stylus. The stylus slot is located at the bottom right corner of the device. Users can jot down notes, sketch and add watermarks with the help of the stylus. The Moto G Stylus offers 128GB onboard storage expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The camera cutout on the front houses a 16MP selfie shooter. On the back, the device sports a vertically aligned triple-camera module comprising of a 48MP main sensor, a 16MP ultrawide Action camera retained from the Motorola One Action, and a 2MP macro lens. The smartphone offers a 4K video recording option.

The Moto G Stylus is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit. It features a USB-C port, but does not offer fast charging.

Moto G Power specifications and features

The Moto G Power features a massive 5,000mAh battery

Coming to the Moto G Power, the smartphone is equipped with quad-rear cameras. The setup consists of a 16MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom and lastly a 2MP macro camera. The smartphone offers 64GB internal storage which is half of what the Moto G Stylus offers. The Moto G Power draws its power from a larger 5,000mAh battery unit, but again, misses out on fast charging support.

Both the Moto G Stylus and Moto G Power come with Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphones are also equipped with dual stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Audio. Like previous Motorola devices, the latest offerings also come with Moto actions.

Moto G Stylus and Moto G Power pricing and availability
