The Moto G31 has arrived in two options such as 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage in India. These models are priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 13,999, respectively. It comes in two colours such as Meteorite Grey and Sterling Blue.

The Redmi 10 Prime comes in two configurations such as 4GB RAM + 64GB for Rs 12,499 and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage for Rs 14,499. Buyers can avail it in colours such as Astral White, Bitfrost Blue, and Phantom Black.

The Realme Narzo 50A comes in 64GB and 128GB storage choices. Both models have 4GB of RAM. They are priced at Rs 11,499 and Rs 12,499, respectively. It comes in Oxygen Blue and Oxygen Green colours.

The Samsung Galaxy M12 comes in two variant such as 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. They are priced at Rs 11,499 and Rs 13,499, respectively. It comes in black, white, and blue colours.

While the Redmi 10 Prime has been priced Rs 1,000 more than the Narzo 50A and Galaxy M12, it offers several unmatched features that are unavailable on these phones. Hence, the Redmi 10 Prime has been decided as the winner in the pricing segment.

Moto G31

Moto G31 has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display

The Moto G31 and Redmi 10 Prime have a punch-hole display, whereas the Narzo 50A and Galaxy M12 are fitted with a teardrop notch screen. The G31 is the only phone among the four to feature an AMOLED panel. It has a 6.4-inch display that offers a 60Hz refresh rate. The Redmi 10 Prime has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It also offers Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the display.

The Narzo 50A has an IPS LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and 570 nits of brightness. On the other hand, the Galaxy M12 has a 6.5-inch PLS TFT LCD screen that produces an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Moto G31 is one of the affordable phones to feature an AMOLED screen, which offers a brighter viewing experience. Hence, it has been chosen as a winner along with the Redmi 10 Prime in this segment.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime

The Moto G31 and Narzo 50A are powered by the Helio G85 chipset. The Redmi 10 Prime features the Helio G88, which is an updated version of the G85. Samsung’s in-house 8nm chipset, the Exynos 850 is present under the hood of the Galaxy M12.

The Narzo 50A is available in a single 4GB RAM option only, whereas the other three phones come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. Among these models, the Redmi 10 Prime and Narzo 50A are equipped with LPDDR4x type of RAM. Motorola and Samsung haven’t confirmed the type of RAM that is available on the G31 and M12 handsets. All four phones come in 64GB and 128GB storage choices. It appears that these devices are equipped with an eMMC 5.1 type of internal storage.

The Motorola phone ships with My UX based Android 11, which offers a near stock experience of Android OS. The other three phones also come preinstalled with Android 11. The Redmi, Realme, and Samsung phones come with their version of custom UI such as MIUI, Realme UI, and One UI, respectively.

The 12nm Helio G88 and G85 chipsets are almost identical when it comes to GPU and CPU performance. AnTuTu benchmarks have revealed the Helio G85/G88 offers better performance than the Exynos 850 SoC. The inclusion of LPDDR4x gives an edge to Redmi 10 Prime and Narzo 50A. The G31’s My UX UI offers a cleaner user experience as compared to MIUI, Realme UI, and One UI.

Realme Narzo 50A has a unique rear design

The Moto G31 has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. On the other side, the other three phones also have a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

The G31’s back panel has a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 119-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The Redmi 10 Prime’s quad-camera unit has a 50—megapixel primary snapper, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 120-degree FOV, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens.

The Narzo 50A’s triple camera unit is pioneered by a 50-megapixel camera. It is coupled with a 2-megapixel macro snapper and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Samsung Galaxy M12 runs on Android 11 and One UI

The Moto G31, Redmi 10 Prime, and Galaxy M12 are equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The Narzo 50A has a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. Motorola claims that the business-grade ThinkPad security offers protection against malware, phishing, and other threats. The G31 also offers a water-repellent construction.

The Redmi 10 Prime is blessed with some features such as an IR blaster and dual stereo speakers that are unavailable on other phones. It features a dustproof and splash-resistant chassis. The Narzo 50A has a unique rear design that features a large-sized camera module, which also houses a fingerprint scanner. The portion below the camera has diagonal lines running towards the bottom.

The Redmi 10 Prime, 50A, and Galaxy M12 offer a dedicated microSD card slot, whereas the G31 has a shared SIM slot for adding a microSD card slot. All four phones offer common features such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0/5.1, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
