This year’s Mobile World Congress witnessed the launch of two new Moto G-series handsets — Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. After unveiling the latter in India, Lenovo is gearing up to launch the Moto G5. This time Lenovo opted for Amazon exclusive, unlike G5 Plus. which was exclusive to Flipkart. Hence, making sense for the company to have a balanced (or rather unbiased) e-commerce presence.
Specs-wise, it comes with a 5-inch Full HD screen, a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 SoC, and Adreno 505 GPU. The phone also comes in two memory options — 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal memory. We are expecting the Moto G5 to start selling at Rs 10,000 to compete with the likes of year-old phones such as the Xiaomi Redmi 3S and 3S Prime.
Furthermore, the Dual-SIM Moto G5 runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Hence, as obvious as it may sound, the device packs a built-in Google Assistant. Concerning photography, it houses a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. Moving on, it features a water-repellent nano-coating that doesn’t make it a waterproof device, of course. However, a few water sprinkles on your phone’s surface shouldn’t result in much of damage.
The Moto G5 is based on a 2800mAh battery with 10W fast charging. Considering the size of its display, the battery should not have a problem to last at least a day. The phone is 9.5mm thick and weighs 145g. It comes is Fine Gold and Lunar Gray colour options. It will go on sale exclusively on Amazon starting from 4th of April.
