Motorola has finally launched its latest smartphone Moto G5 in India. It was first unveiled at MWC 2017 along with its sibling Moto G5 Plus which is already launched in India. Similar to its sibling Moto G5 Plus, it also gets a metal unibody design.
Talking about specs, the Moto G5 sports a 5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The phone gets 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB with a MicroSD card. It’s a dual SIM phone with a dedicated slot for MicroSD card and supports VoLTE.
For photography, the Moto G5 flaunts a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and video recording capabilities up to 1080p. For selfies, it features a 5MP camera with OmniVision OV5693 sensor. The phone draws its power from a 2800mAh battery which supports rapid charging. The Moto G5 also get front ported speakers and a fingerprint scanner mounted into the home button. The fingerprint scanner also gets a water repellent nano-coating. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat and gets all the standard connectivity features such as Wi-Fi (dual band), FM Radio, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and microUSB port.
The Moto G5 is priced at Rs 11,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon starting today midnight. It comes in two colour options – Lunar Gray and Fine Gold. As a launch offer, Motorola is also offering a free Sandisk Ultra 16GB MicroSD card and flat Rs 1000 cashback to HDFC credit card holders. The launch offer, however, is available to customers who buy the phone on either 5th or 6th of April. Additionally, Amazon Prime members will get Rs 1000 cashback in their Amazon Pay balance on buying the phone.
