Moto G51 5G’s India launch has been confirmed. With the first teaser now live, it appears that it may not take too long for the device to go official. The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion priced at Rs 21,499 is currently the cheapest 5G phone from the brand in India. It is likely that the Moto G51 will dethrone Edge 20 Fusion to become Motorola’s most affordable 5G handset in the country.

The Moto G51 is not an entirely new phone since it was announced in Europe last month. It is expected to arrive as India’s first phone powered by the Snapdragon 480+ SoC. The device offers some other exciting features like a high refresh rate display and 50-megapixel triple cameras.

In the above teaser, Motorola describes the Moto G51 with words like ‘true 5G smartphone’ and ‘future ready.’ Popular tipster Mukul Sharma said in a recent tweet that it will arrive with support for 12 5G bands. Hence, it can be said that the G51 will be a future-ready device. He also said that the company will be launching it on December 10th, 2021.

As far as the pricing is concerned, it is speculated to be priced at Rs 19,999. The device may come in Indigo Blue and Bright Silver colours. Like other Motorola phones, it is likely to be available for purchase through Flipkart.

Moto G51 5G specifications (expected)

The Moto G51 will offer a 6.8-inch LCD FHD+ 120Hz display. It may come equipped with a 13-megapixel or a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera system of the phone will include a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Snapdragon 480 Plus chip will drive the Moto G51 with up to 8GB of RAM. It will come with 128GB of storage and MyUX based Android 11 OS. Its other features include a microSD card slot, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a Google Assistant button, and a water-repellent body.
