Moto G51’s India launch has been tipped. The handset was announced last week along with other Motorola phones such as G200, G71, G41, and G31. The Lenovo-owned company had confirmed that the G71, G51, and G31 will be arriving in India soon. According to a new report from 91mobiles, the Moto G51 will be launching in India in December.

The Moto G51 will be arriving as the successor to the Moto G50, which wasn’t made available in India. It is expected to arrive as India’s first phone powered by the Snapdragon 480+ SoC. The smartphone will also offer other attractive features like a big display, a large-sized battery, and a 50-megapixel triple camera unit.

A recent leak claimed that Motorola will launch the Moto G31 on November 29th, 2021, in India. At present, the company is yet to release any official confirmation on its arrival. While the G51 is said to debut in December, there is no word on its exact launch date. It was introduced with a price tag of €229 (~Rs 19,100). Hence, it is likely that it may carry a sub-Rs 20,000 pricing in India.

The Moto G51 flaunts a massive 6.8-inch IPS LCD display that produces an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Chinese variant of the phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, whereas the model available in other markets feature a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel main camera, which is accompanied by an 8-megapixel camera for ultrawide shots and a 2-megapixel lens for capturing macro images.

The Snapdragon 480 Plus powers the Moto G51. The device ships with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports only 10W charging. It boots to MyUX flavoured Android 11. It offers other features such as water-repellent chassis, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a Google Assistant key. It comes in colours like Indigo Blue, Bright Silver, and Aqua Blue.
