Moto G62 5G India launch date announced, Flipkart listing reveals key specifications

Moto G62 5G launch date in India has been announced. It is set to arrive in the country on August 11th. Ahead of the launch, e-commerce portal Flipkart has put up a dedicated microsite of the smartphone revealing its full specifications. 

The Moto G62 5G debuted in the global markets in June this year. However, the Indian variant will come with a different processor.

Moto G62 5G India launch confirmed 

Going by the Flipkart listing, the Moto G62 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device has a pill-shaped rear camera module and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The smartphone is equipped with dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

In terms of optics, the Moto G62 5G comes with triple rear cameras. The setup comprises a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also doubles up as a depth shooter, and a 2MP macro unit. 

Under the hood, the Moto G62 5G is confirmed to be equipped with a Snapdragon 695 processor compared to the Snapdragon 480+ that powers the global variant. The upcoming offering will be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM options with 128GB onboard storage. The device will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit. The smartphone will ship with Android 12 OS out of the box with Lenovo’s ThinkShield business security. The Moto G62 5G is said to come with support for 12 5G network bands. 

Lastly, the Moto G62 5G will come in Midnight Grey and Frosted Blue colour options. We will know more details about the smartphone’s pricing and availability next week.
