Moto G62 5G has launched in India today. It arrives as the successor to the last year’s G60 with incremental upgrades. The latest offering comes days after the Lenovo-owned brand announced the G32.
The Moto G62 5G debuted in the global markets in June. The Indian variant retains the same specifications apart from a different processor. The smartphone falls under the sub-Rs 18,000 segment and competes against the likes of the Vivo T1 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Realme 9 Pro 5G, and more in the market.
Moto G62 5G specifications and features
The Moto G62 5G offers a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout and a 120Hz refresh rate. It features a pill-shaped rear camera module and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. On the audio front, the smartphone is equipped with dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
In terms of imaging, the Moto G62 5G sports triple rear cameras. The setup comprises a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also doubles up as a depth shooter, and a 2MP macro unit. Up front, there is a 16MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood, the Moto G62 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor compared to the Snapdragon 480+ that is found on the global variant. The device packs up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit. The Moto G62 5G ships with Android 12 OS out of the box with Lenovo’s ThinkShield business security.
Connectivity options on the Moto G62 5G include a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, and support for 12 5G network bands.
Moto G62 5G price in India
The Moto G62 5G starts at Rs 17,999 for the base 6GB + 128GB option. The 8GB 128GB configuration carries a price tag of Rs 19,999. The smartphone is offered in Midnight Grey and Frosted Blue colours. It will be available for purchase from Flipkart starting August 19th. HDFC Bank cardholders can avail a discount of Rs 1,500 off on the purchase of the smartphone.
