Moto G72 has launched in India today. It is the latest mid-range G-series smartphone from the Lenovo-owned brand. The device arrives as the successor to the G71 that debuted in the country earlier this year. 

The Moto G72 falls under the sub-Rs 22,000 price bracket and it competes against the likes of the Redmi Note 11 Pro, Realme 9 Pro, OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, and others in the market. Read on to know what the smartphone offers out of the box.

Moto G72 specifications and features

The Moto G72 sports a centre-aligned punch-hole pOLED display measuring 6.6-inches and featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. It also offers 1,300 nits brightness, 10-bit colour, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and HDR10 support. The device is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and it is IP52-rated water-repellent. 

The Moto G72 comes with a squarish camera module on the back panel. It houses a 108MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens that also doubles up as a depth unit, and a 2MP dedicated macro shooter. On the audio front, the smartphone is equipped with dual speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos. 

Under the hood, the Moto G72 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor based on a 6nm process. It packs 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The device ships with stock Android 12 OS out of the box and it also come with Lenovo’s business-grade ThinkShield security. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging.

The Moto G72 starts at Rs 15,999 for the base 6GB + 128GB variant. It is offered in Meteorite Grey and Polar Blue colours and can be purchased from Flipkart starting October 12h.
