Recent reports have revealed that Motorola will be soon announcing new G-series smartphones including the Moto G8, Moto G8 Power and Moto G Stylus. The specifications and images of these smartphones have appeared in recent leaks. Today, popular tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks shared a new render that showcases the three phones together. The image reveals that the upcoming Moto G series phones will be sporting an identical design. Past reports have revealed that while the phones are equipped with the same Snapdragon 665 chipset, they will differ in departments like camera, battery and display.
In the new image, the Moto G8 is on the left, the Moto G8 Power is in the centre and the Moto G Stylus can be seen on the right. These devices are equipped with punch-hole displays. The rear sides of these phones feature a similar design. The top-left corner of the Moto G8 Power is fitted with a quad camera setup.
While the renders suggest that the Moto G8 and G Stylus phones are also equipped with four rear cameras, multiple reports have stated that both phones will be arriving with triple rear cameras. What appears as a fourth lens in their camera setup could also be a laser autofocus sensor. The Moto logo on rear shell of these phones is integrated with a fingerprint sensor.
Moto G8, G8 Power and G Stylus specifications and features
The Moto G8 may come with a 6.39-inch IPS LCD panel that offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,560 pixels. The G8 Power and G Stylus may house slightly smaller 6.36-inch IPS LCD displays. Both phones will feature full HD+ displays. These phones will be equipped with Snapdragon 665 processors.
The Moto G8 may come in multiple RAM choices such as 2GB, 3GB and 4GB, and may release in storage options like 32GB and 64GB. The Moto G8 Power may come in a single edition featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The Moto G Stylus could be coming with 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB storage variants.
The Moto G8 could be fitted with an 8-megapixel front camera. The G8 Power and Stylus could be flaunting a 25-megapixel selfie camera. The Moto G8’s triple camera setup may constitute a 16-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The G8 Power will have the same three sensors along with an additional 8-megapixel lens. The triple camera setup of the Moto G Stylus has a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 main shooter, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
The new Moto G8 series will run a stock edition of Android 10. The Moto G8 and G Stylus could be housing 4,000mAh batteries with 10W charging support. The G8 Power will feature a larger battery of 5,000mAh capacity and it will also support 18W fast charging. While it cannot be seen in the above image, the Moto G Stylus will be arriving with a stylus pen. The phone will be equipped with a dedicated notetaking app. There is no word on the pricing of these devices.
