In February, Motorola had launched the Moto G7 series of smartphones. A fresh report on Winfuture.de reveals that the Lenovo-owned company will be holding a launch event in Brazil on October 24th to announce the Moto G8 Plus. There is no official confirmation on it yet from Motorola Brazil. The publication has also revealed the entire specifications and renders of the Moto G8 Plus.
Moto G8 Plus rumoured specifications and features
According to the publication, the Moto G8 Plus with the model number XT2019 comes with a display that features a waterdrop notch like its predecessor, the Moto G7 Plus. The 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel of the phone features 1,080 x 2,280 pixels full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The front notch houses a selfie camera of 25-megapixels. A broader speaker grill can be seen above the display notch. The chin of the device is thick, but does not include Motorola branding that was seen on its predecessor.
The Moto G8 Plus is driven by the Snapdragon 665 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. It is assisted by 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to arrive in 64GB and 128GB storage options. It could feature a dedicated slot for adding a microSD card. The handset runs Android 9 Pie. It will be housing a 4,000mAh battery that will be coupled with Motorola’s TurboPower fast charging technology.
A triple camera system can be seen at the upper-left corner of the Moto G8 Plus. It is followed by a laser autofocus module and an LED flash. The triple camera setup features a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 117-degree 16-megapixel Action Camera and a depth sensor of 5-megapixels. The company’s logo placed on the rear shell of the device is embedded with a fingerprint sensor.
When it comes to connectivity, the Moto G8 Plus offers dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C and a 3.5mm audio jack. Depending on the region, the handset will come with NFC connectivity. The rear panel of the smartphone is made out of plastic. It measures 9.1mm in thickness and weighs 188 grams. As shown in the renders above, the G8 Plus will come in colour editions like Blue and Red.
Moto G8 Plus price and availability
The report claims that the Motorola Moto G8 Plus will be soon heading to Europe after its launch in Brazil. The pricing and availability of the phone are currently under the wraps. There is no word on its arrival in India.
