Moto G8 Power Lite to launch in India on May 21st

Last month, Motorola launched the G8 Power Lite in Europe. Now the Lenovo-owned brand is set to announce the smartphone in India on May 21st. The launch date was confirmed by e-commerce website Flipkart. It also hints that the device will be available exclusively on the shopping platform. A few days ago, Flipkart also revealed that Motorola will be launching its flagship Edge+ smartphone tomorrow i.e. May 19th at 12pm. Motorola’s G8 lineup consists of the standard G8, G8 Plus G8 Play and G8 Power Lite. Out of those, only the G8 Plus is available in India.

Moto G8 Power Lite specifications and features

The Moto G8 Power Lite features a 6.5-inch LCD display bearing HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The back of the phone houses a triple camera setup comprising a 16MP primary, 2MP depth and 2MP macro sensor. The device is fitted with an 8MP selfie snapper. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. The Moto G8 Power Lite is available in Royal Blue and Arctic Blue colours. 

In terms of hardware, the Moto G8 Power Lite is equipped with a Helio P35 chipset paired with 4GB RAM. The device packs 64GB onboard storage, expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. The Moto G8 Power Lite runs a stock version of Android 10. All the basic connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack are available on the device. 

Moto G8 Power Lite price and availability

The Moto G8 Power Lite is priced at €169 (~Rs 13,900) in Germany. We expect it to be priced similarly in India. It is likely to go on sale in India soon after launch.
