[Update: April 2nd]: As per a new tweet by OnLeaks, it appears that the device might actually be the successor to the Motorola P30 Power, which we agree is more likely than the Moto G8.
As pointed out by some of you, this one might in fact be the #Motorola P30 Power aka Motorola One Power aka Motorola P30 Note successor and if so, likely be called #MotorolaP40Power aka #MotorolaP40Note aka whatever… Sucha messy naming sheme… ?

Motorola launched its latest generation of Moto G-series smartphones – the Moto G7, G7 Plus, G7 Play and G7 Power a couple of months ago in Brazil. While these smartphones are still rolling out globally, the company seems to be already working on yet another Moto series phone. In collaboration with the popular tipster @OnLeaks, Pricebaba now brings you exclusive 5K renders and a 360-degree video of the Moto G8. Sow without any further ado, let’s take a look at the upcoming smartphone.
Moto G8 Renders
As can be seen in the 5K renders below, the Moto G8’s design will be less along the lines of previous Moto G-series phones and more like the upcoming Motorola One Vision (aka Moto P40).
The renders reveal that the new Moto series smartphone will be the first from the company to flaunt a triple-camera module on the back. Additionally, if it launches before the Motorola One Vision, it will also be the first from the company to feature a punch-hole display.
According to OnLeaks, the Moto G8 will feature a 6.2-inch display, which is the same as that of the Motorola One Vision. If this is indeed the same display, we can expect the resolution to be HD+. We can see identical Motorola branding on the chin and narrow bezels all around the display.
Coming to the dimensions, the smartphone will measure 160.1 x 71.2 x 9.1mm with the camera bump standing at 9.7mm. Speaking of the camera bump, the triple camera module on the rear will have 12-megapixel shooters and a dual-LED flash underneath.
Moving on to the port and button placement, the Moto G8 seems to be uncannily similar to the Motorola One Vision. At the bottom, you can see the USB Type-C port, loudspeaker grill and primary microphone. The power button and volume rocker are located on the right spine, while an ejectable SIM card tray is housed on the left. A 3.5mm audio jack can be found on the top, along with a secondary microphone. The rear panel is also home to the fingerprint scanner embedded in the dimpled Motorola logo.
While OnLeaks is referring to the device as the Moto G8 for now, since the phone builds on the specifications of the One Vision, we expect it might launch as a more powerful variant of the same. To recap, the Motorola One Vision is speculated to come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 675 SoC. The chipset is likely to be backed by 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage depending on the variant.
As of now, this is all that we have about the Moto G8 for you. Stay tuned for more details regarding the upcoming handset.
