In August, Motorola announced the Moto G9 Play in Europe. It was a rebranded version of the Moto G9 that went official the same month in India. The G9 series also includes the Snapdragon 730-powered Moto G9 Plus. Today, the Lenovo-owned company has announced the Moto G9 Power. The budget-friendly phone is slotted between the Moto G9 Plus and Moto G9 Play in Europe.

Apart from launching the Moto G9 Power, the company also unveiled the Moto G 5G. The handset has arrived as a toned-down version of the Snapdragon 765G powered Moto G 5G Plus that went official In July. It has debuted as the cheapest 5G phone from the brand.

The Moto G 5G has a 6.7-inch LTPS IPS LCD screen with a top-centre positioned punch-hole cutout. The 20:9 aspect ratio display features Full HD+ resolution and HDR10 support. The handset is fitted with a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The phone features a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It sports a square-shape camera module on the rear, housing a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and an LED flash.
After the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, the Moto G 5G is the second phone to feature the Snapdragon 750G chipset. It is accompanied by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 5,000mAh battery of the Moto G 5G supports 20W fast charging.

The Moto G9 Power has a 6.78-inch display with a punch-hole design. It sports HD+ resolution, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and a punch-hole cutout that houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The Moto G9 Power’s rear has a square-shaped camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel main camera with f/1.79 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash. The company’s batwing logo on the back is integrated with a fingerprint sensor.
The Snapdragon 662 mobile platform is present under the hood of the Moto G9 Power. The SoC is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. The Moto G9 Power has a massive 6,0000mAh battery with 20W fast charging.
The Moto G 5G and Moto G9 Power run the My UX-based Android 10. Both phones offer other features such as a dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, NFC, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Lastly, both phones come with an IP52 water-splash resistant rating.
Moto G 5G and Moto G9 Power pricing and availability
The Moto G 5G comes in two variants such as 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. They are priced at €299 (~Rs 26,100) and €349 (~Rs 30,600), respectively. Its colour variants are Frosted Silver and Volcanic Gray. On the other hand, the Moto G9 Power is priced at €199 (~Rs 17,400) and it comes in two colours such as Metallic Sage and Electric Violet.
