The Moto G9 Plus has been spotted in multiple leaks and renders recently. Now the Lenovo-owned brand has launched the smartphone in Brazil. The Moto G9 Plus is the successor to last year’s G8 Plus. It packs significant upgrades and features a punch-hole display and 64MP quad camera setup.
The latest offering is the third phone in Moto G9 series after the Moto G9 Play and standard Moto G9. The brand had announced Moto G9 in India last month. Let’s find out what the Moto G9 Plus has in store for us.
Moto G9 Plus specifications and features
The Moto G9 Plus sports a 6.8-inch screen bearing FHD+ reoslution and HDR10 support. The device has a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner. The back of the phone houses a rectangular camera module at the top left corner and a Motorola logo in the centre. Unlike previous Motorola phones, this one features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button.
In the imaging department, the Moto G9 Plus is equipped with a quad-camera setup comprising a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth unit. The smartphone is fitted with a 16MP front-facing selfie snapper. The G9 Plus offers up to 4K video recording at 30fps.
The Moto G9 Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 730G processor. It is paired with 4GB RAM and the device offers 128GB internal storage with a microSD card slot. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 30W TurboPower fast charging. The Moto G9 Plus runs Android 10 out of the box. Connectivity options on the device include a USB-C port, dual-SIM slots, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi and a 3.5mm jack.
Moto G9 Plus pricing and availability
The Moto G9 Plus is priced at R$ 2.249,10 (~Rs 31,000) in Brazil. The smartphone is already on sale in the country via the company’s official website. Since the Moto G8 Plus was launched in India last October, we can expect the Lenovo-owned brand to debut the G9 Plus in India next month as well. The Moto G9 Plus is being offered in Rose Gold and Indigo Blue colours.
