Last month, a popular tipster Mukul Sharma had revealed that Motorola will be launching the Moto G 5G and Moto G9 Power phones In India soon. The Moto G 5G debuted by the end of November as the most affordable 5G phone in the country. Today, the Motorola has confirmed that the Moto G9 Power will debut on December 8th in the country on Flipkart.

A tweet shared by Motorola mentions that the Moto G9 Power will come with a massive battery and an “incredible camera system”. It will be arriving as the successor to the Moto G8 Power Lite (review) in May this year.

The specifications of the Moto G9 Power are no secret since it debuted in European markets in November. The Moto G9 Power sports a punch-hole display of 6.8 inches of offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,640 pixels and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The handset runs on My UX based on Android 10.
After the Moto G9, the G9 Power will be the second G-series from the brand driven by the Snapdragon 662 chipset. The handset is backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery and comes with support for 20W fast charging.
For capturing selfies, the Moto G9 Power sports a 16-megapixel front camera. The back panel of the phone has a square-shaped camera module that houses a 64-megapixel main snapper, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear of the G9 Power.
Moto G9 Power price in India (expected)
The European markets received the Moto G9 Power in a single version of 4GB RAM + 128GB storage with a price tag of €199 (~Rs 17,900). The handset has been available in colours like Electric Violet and Metallic Sage. Since the Moto G 5G went official with a pricing of Rs 20,999, it is likely that the G9 Power could be priced around Rs 15,000 in the country.
