Moto X4 to feature dual-cameras, an aluminium body and water resistance, claim reports

Lenovo subsidiary Motorola has diversified its product lineup to cater probably every cross section of customers. Since the past year, it has been working hard to build up its Moto Z series of smartphones. However, an exclusive report by Venturebeat claims to have some insider information on the Moto X4, the much loved series in the Rs. 20,000 price bracket. Moto X4 will supposedly launch in Q4 of 2017. Although a few rumours were previously leaked about the phone, they all are said to be false by the insider who leaked the new information. Let’s take a peek at what the Moto X4 will most likely have for us.

The Moto X4 is poised to have a 5.2 inch Full HD display and a full aluminum body. It will obviously have the latest Android 7.1 Nougat like all the new and upcoming Moto Devices. The Moto X series of phones are popular for having impressive specifications inside a superb build quality and available at an affordable price. The X4 won’t be an exception to this trend.

Under the hood, the Moto X4 will come with Snapdragon 630 which has eight cores clocking at 2.2GHz. It is also said to have a 4GB RAM for seamless multi-tasking. As for the storage, the phone might come with 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded by a microSD slot. The battery capacity will be 3000mAh but the Doze feature in Nougat might enhance the battery life and standby time.

The biggest surprise of the phone however, will be its cameras, or to be more precise, dual-cameras. The phone will have a dual rear camera setup of 8-megapixel and 12-megapixel for better zooming capabilities and maybe portrait modes like the iPhone 7 Plus and OnePlus 5. Moto hasn’t ignored selfie-lovers and will offer a 16-megapixel camera up front.

The device most probably will be as ergonomically designed as most of the other Moto phones. Along with an aluminium body, the phone will also be protected from water and dust at an IP68 level of certification. The home button will also feature the fingerprint sensor and allow gesture control to navigate the interface like many other Moto phones already do.

After the success of X series phones by Moto, the X4 is highly anticipated and all set to launch before the year ends. It will be exciting to see how accurate these leaks are to the actual phone when it launches.
