Moto Z2 Force Goes Official for Rs. 34,999 in India with Unbreakable Display, Snapdragon 835 Dual Cameras

Motorola had launched the Moto Z Force in India in 2016. Even though the Moto Z2 Force was globally announced last year, it was not launched in India. Last year, the Lenovo-owned company had only released the Moto Z2 Play. Today, the company has officially announced the Z2 Force for India with a price tag of Rs. 34,999. It is Limited Edition model that comes with a battery pack MotoMod.

Moto Z2 Force Specifications and Features

The Moto Z2 Force features a 7000-series aluminum unibody chassis. Its dimensions are 155.8 x 76 x 6.1mm and its weight is 143 grams. The handset can be availed in a single color option of Super Black.

The backside of the smartphone features the company’s logo below the dual camera setup. MotoMods accessories can be connected to the pogo connector pins on the bottom portion of the back panel. The fingerprint sensor is integrated in the oblong-shaped home button at the front.

Since it features a 5.5-inch P-OLED (polymer-OLED) screen that does not break easily, it is dubbed as ShatterShield display. It carries support for Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and bears an  aspect ratio of 16:9.

The Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6 GB of RAM powers the Moto Z2 Force. It has an internal storage of 64 GB. For additional storage, the smartphone features a microSD card slot. The 2,730mAh battery fuels the smartphone.

For photography, it features a dual camera setup coupled with dual-LED flash placed inside a prominent and round-shaped camera module. The dual camera system includes two 12-megapixel RGB and monochrome sensors that are accompanied with features like Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), laser autofocus and PDAF. The 5-megapixel selfie camera sitting on the front of the Z2 Force is also equipped with dual-tone LED flash.

Since it is a MotoMod accessory, it can be attached to the rear of the phone. It comes pre-installed with Android 7.1 Nougat. The users of Z2 Force in the U.S. have already received Android 8.0 update. Hence, the Oreo update is expected to be soon available for Moto Z2 Force users in India.

Motorola is giving away 3,490mAh TurboPower battery pack worth Rs. 5,999 to the buyers of Z2 Force. The connectivity features available on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, USB-C, NFC and GPS. One should be aware of the fact that since it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack, users can make use of its USB-C port for connecting charger or earphones.
