Motorola Defy smartphone has launched in the global markets. Prior to launch, the smartphone’s specifications and renders had leaked online. The Motorola Defy is a rugged phone with military-grade durability. It is developed with a UK-based Bullit Group that produces and sells rugged phones.
The latest offering is the second Defy series phone since its predecessor was launched way back in 2011. The smartphone packs a large battery. Read on to know the entire specifications as well as the pricing and availability.
Motorola Defy specifications and features
The Motorola Defy sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch surrounded by thick bezels. It is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection against accidental damages and scratches. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a programmable button on the side with Push to Talk mode.
The Motorola Defy is IP68 certified water and dust resistant. It is equipped with MIL-SPEC 810H military-grade durability. The smartphone is claimed to operate in temperatures ranging from -25 degrees to + 55 degrees.
The Motorola Defy features a square-shaped triple camera setup comprising of a 48MP main sensor, 2MP depth lens and a 2MP macro unit. The device offers an 8MP front-facing selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Motorola Defy is powered by a Snapdragon 662 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable internal storage. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with 20W fast charging support. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out of the box.
Connectivity options on the Motorola Defy include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port.

The Motorola Defy is priced at EUR 329 (~Rs 29,101) and comes in Forged Green and Black colours. It will be available for purchase in European and South American markets starting next week.
