Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Fusion have launched in India today. Both smartphones are mid-range offerings. The former retains the same specifications as the global variant, while the latter is a rebranded version of the Edge 20 Lite that had debuted in Europe last month.
The Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Fusion are quite different from each other in terms of specifications. The standard variant is the more premium among the two devices. Both smartphones compete against the likes of the OnePlus Nord 2, OPPO Reno6 (review), Realme X7 Max (review), and more in the market.

The Motorola Edge 20 is offered in a single RAM and storage configuration and can be availed in Frosted Emerald and Frosted Pearl colours.

The Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 will go on sale from August 27th and can be purchased from e-commerce platform Flipkart and leading retail stores across the country.

Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Fusion specifications and features
Beginning with the display, both the Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Fusion offer a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen bearing an FHD+ resolution and a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The smartphones also support 10-bit colour and HDR10. The standard variant features a 144Hz refresh rate with an in-screen fingerprint scanner while the Edge 20 Fusion has a 90Hz refresh rate with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Design-wise, the Motorola Edge 20 has a boxy form factor and a rectangular camera module on the back panel. On the other hand, the Edge 20 Fusion houses a square camera module.
In the camera department, the Motorola Edge 20 Duo features a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. Both smartphones are equipped with a 108MP primary rear camera. However, the standard model is paired with a 16MP wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto unit while the Edge 20 Fusion has an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth camera.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 20 houses a Snapdragon 778G processor whereas the Edge 20 Fusion is powered by a Dimensity 800U SoC. The smartphones pack up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The standard variant will run on a 4,000mAh battery unit while the Fusion will be fuelled by a 5,000mAh cell. Both devices will support 30W fast charging.
Software-wise, the Edge 20 duo run on Android 11 with near-stock UI and 2 years of OS updates. The devices ship with business-grade ThinkShield security. There is also a ‘Ready For’ feature that lets users connect their phone to an external display for a desktop-like experience.
