Motorola Edge 40 Pro is expected to soon launch in the global market. In December 2021, the Lenovo-owned brand announced the Moto Edge X30 in China, which was released as the Motorola Edge 30 Pro in the global market, including India. In December 2022, the company unveiled the Moto X40 by dropping the Edge branding in the home market. It is speculated that the X40 will break cover as the Motorola Edge 40 Pro in the global market.
A new report that has surfaced today has revealed the configuration, colour options, and price of the Edge 40 Pro for the European market. The flagship phone is also expected to be released in India. However, there is no word on its launch in India yet.

According to a report by Appuals, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will come in a single configuration that offers 12GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage. It appears that the global market will not get the 512GB storage version, which is available with the X40 in China.
Like the Chinese variant, the Edge 40 Pro will be available in black and blue. The device is expected to cost €850 (Rs 74,700) in Europe. In India, the device is expected to cost around Rs 60,000.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro will arrive with a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display that offers a 20:9 aspect ratio, up to 165Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 125W wired charging. The device will also offer 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
The Edge 40 Pro will have a 60-megapixel camera for shooting selfies and making video calls. The rear camera setup of the phone will have a pair of 50-megapixel main and ultra-wide cameras. The setup will also include a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. It will run on the Android 13 OS, which will be overlaid with MyUI 5.0.
