Motorola Edge 40 Pro renders and specifications have appeared in a report by Appuals, which has tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore as the source. Motorola launched the Moto X40, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, in December 2022 in China. Several reports have claimed that the same device will be released in the global market with the Motorola Edge 40 Pro moniker.
Since the Motorola Edge 30 Pro was announced in the first quarter of 2022 in the global market and India, it is likely that the Edge 40 Pro may also release in Q1 2023. Here is a look at the renders and specifications of the Edge 40 Pro’s global version.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro renders
The Motorola Edge 40 renders show that it will be available in black and blue shades. On the front, it has a curved-edge OLED display with an integrated fingerprint sensor, and it has a triple camera unit on the back. The new images also confirm that it will be a rebadged version of the Moto X40.

The Edge 40 Pro will have a 6.67-inch OLED display that produces an FHD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. On the front, it will have a 60-megapixel selfie camera, whereas its rear shell will have an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.
The flagship phone will boot to My UX-based Android 13 OS. Under the hood, it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a 4,600mAh battery that supports 125W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. It is likely to come in a single configuration that offers 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is expected to cost €850 (~Rs 75,400) in Europe.
