Motorola Edge+ with 90Hz ‘Endless Edge’ display will launch in India soon

Motorola recently made a comeback in the flagship segment with the launch of its  Motorola Edge+, which was accompanied by the more affordable variant Motorola Edge. The Motorola Edge+ is a flagship launch from the brand after a gap of three years. Both Motorola Edge smartphones flaunt “Endless Edge” 90Hz displays, stock Android 10, beefy batteries, fast charging and loaded spec-sheets as their highlights. The Lenovo-owned brand didn’t announce the India launch and pricing of the flagship offering at its online-only event. However, we now have the confirmation that the more premium Edge+ will launch soon in India, thanks to a tweet by Prashanth Mani, Motorola India’s Country Head.

Mani took to Twitter to announced that the more premium Motorola Edge+ will come soon to India. The head honcho posted an engineering video of the latest launch with the caption, “The all-new Motorola edge+ is reinvigorating the flagship space with a Bold endless edge screen innovation, Fastest 5G performances with Snapdragon 865 and a monster 108 mpx camera. Here is a sneak peek into what went behind creating the #AbsoluteEverything. Coming soon to India!” While Mani confirmed the launch, he didn’t mention a launch date.

Motorola Edge+ specifications and features

The Motorola Edge+ features a 6.7-inch Endless Edge display with extreme curved edges, full HD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The 5G-enabled flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC with the X55 modem for 5G connectivity. The processor is backed by 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3,0 storage. The phone offers a 108MP primary camera with OIS, 8MP telephoto lens with OIS, 16MP ultra-wide camera which doubles up as a macro camera and ToF sensor. There’s a 25MP selfie snapper sitting in the single punch-hole cutout on the front.

The Motorola Edge+ boots the stock Android 10 out of the box and is powered by a beefy 5,000mAh battery. The battery comes with features like 15W Turbocharge wired as well as wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging.
