Earlier this month, we had brought you exclusive renders and a 360-degree video of the Motorola Edge+ smartphone in collaboration with Onleaks. Now another notable tipster, Evan Blass (@evleaks) has shared a new set of renders giving us another glimpse of the smartphone. These are in line with the ones that we had shared. The Motorola Edge+ will arrive as the brand’s first flagship smartphone since 2018. The latest renders also confirm some previously rumoured specifications and features of the device. Motorola is also expected to launch a toned-down variant of Edge+ called the Motorola Edge, with the same design but less powerful hardware.
The new render images of the Motorola Edge+ smartphone displays an April 3rd date hinting at the smartphone’s announcement. However, this is just a speculation and the exact launch date is unclear at the moment. If you take a closer look near the camera setup on the back panel, the Motorola Edge+ will sport a 108MP camera. A huge camera bump can also be seen from the side of the smartphone. There is a signature Motorola logo at the centre. Motorola’s upcoming flagship offering will arrive in a Burgundy Red colour variant alongside the previously seen Dark Blue colour.
As for the specifications and features, the Motorola Edge+ is expected to feature a curved waterfall screen measuring 6.7-inches. The display will be fitted with an AMOLED panel on the top and have a tiny punch-hole camera cutout at the top left corner. The smartphone will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and the power and volume rocker buttons are located on the right side. There is a headphone jack at the top while the bottom of the phone is home to a USB-C port, speaker grill and SIM slot.
Internally, the Motorola Edge+ will be reportedly powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with 12GB RAM. It will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit. The smartphone will run on Android 10 OS and come with support for 5G connectivity. In the camera department, the Motorola Edge+ triple camera setup could consist of a 108MP main sensor accompanied by a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto shooter.
