Motorola has finally set a date to launch the newest variant in its X-series lineup, the Moto X4 for the Indian market. The smartphone was released for the US market in September 2017. The phone is the company’s contender in the sub-30,000 rupees segment. The phone is built like a flagship but doesn’t cost as much.
After pushing its Indian launch date several times, the company has finally decided to release the smartphone on 13th November 2017. This launch date is prior to other major launch events like Oneplus’ 5T on the 16th and Gionee M7 Power’s launch on the 15th, giving some head start to the X4.
In terms of storage, the X4 will ship with 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB externally through a microSD card. Coming to the phone’s optical prowess, the recently trending dual rear camera setup makes its appearance on the phone. The primary camera setup comprises a 12-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor having apertures of f/2.0 and f/2.2 respectively. Up front, the phone also sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera with front facing flash enabling the users to capture clear selfies, even in low light.
The phone runs a clean stock version of Android Nougat out of the box and will receive Android Oreo in the form of an OTA update in the coming months. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers support for 3G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. To keep the show running, the phone draws its power from a 3000 mAh non-removable battery with added support for fast charging.
The phone will be exclusively available through Flipkart for an expected price of Rs. 24,000.
