Moto E6s with dual cameras and Helio P22 SoC launched for Rs 7,999

Motorola has expanded its affordable E-series lineup with the launch of a new smartphone in India. The device has been dubbed as Moto E6s and is the rebranded variant of the Moto E6 Plus that was announced earlier this month at IFA, Berlin. Let’s take a look at what the device has in store for us:

Display & Design:

The Moto E6s features a 6.1-inch screen bearing HD+ display resolution and a waterdrop notch on the top. The device comes with display features like night light mode, ambient display and dark theme. On the back, there is a camera setup on the top left corner. The Motorola logo located in the center doubles up as a fingerprint scanner for unlocking the device. The right edge of the smartphone houses a volume rocker and power buttons. The device does not feature a SIM card slot. The Motorola E6s is available in Maroon and Grey colour options with glossy finishes. 

Camera:

On the optics front, the Moto E6s is the first device in the E-series to come with a dual-camera setup. It comprises of a 13MP main camera accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The device gets an 8MP front snapper for selfies. The camera is backed by AI features like scene recognition, beautification, portrait mode, HDR, and panorama. The front camera also offers a face unlock feature.

Hardware, OS and Battery:

The Moto E6s is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The internal storage is expandable via a microSD card up to 512GB for additional needs. Software-wise, the smartphone runs Android 9 Pie with a stock UI. The Moto E6s is backed by a 3,000mAh battery unit which is user-removable. 

Pricing & Availability:

The Motorola E6s is priced at Rs 7,999. It will be available for purchase on Flipkart from September 23rd. It comes in two colour variants – Rich Cranberry and Polished Graphite. Motorola is offering cashback worth Rs 2,200 to Jio users, as well as Cleartrip vouchers worth Rs 3,000.
