Motorola is said to be gearing up to launch the successor to its last year’s Moto G4 Plus late next month. A new upcoming Moto device, allegedly Moto G5 Plus, is spotted on an online marketplace in Romania. Yes, you read that right. If reports are to believe, someone in Romania has jumped the gun and is now selling the prototype of the upcoming Moto G5 Plus online.
Well, the story doesn’t end here. In fact, the listing further reveals a full list of phone’s specifications and release date. Isn’t that hilarious? It may or may not be for you readers, but definitely not for folks at Motorola. Moving on, the phone is expected to arrive in March this year. That said, the phone will possibly make it to the MWC 2017, which is to be held in Barcelona late February.
If the leaked details and specifications are true, Motorola Moto G5 Plus goes by the model name XT1685. Furthermore, 1920 x 1080 pixels stretched across a bigger 5.5-inch display resulting in the pixel density of 401 pixels per inch (PPI). Inside is an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chip clocked at 2GHz combined with Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. It then embraces 4GB RAM to multitask in addition to 32GB internal storage for media and file storage.
For photography, Motorola Moto G5 Plus houses a 13MP primary camera on the back. It also features a 5MP secondary camera up front for taking selfies. The Dual-SIM device runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and is said to feature a fingerprint scanner similar to Moto G4 Plus. Completing the package is 3080mAh battery in addition to connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and microUSB port.
The unannounced Moto G5 Plus is currently on sale in Romania for RON 1,650 (approximately $387).
