Motorola India has pretty much confirmed the launch of the Moto M smartphone in India. The smartphone was launched earlier this month in China and went on sale for 1999 Chinese Yuan ( Approx Rs. 20,000). The company’s twitter handle teased the Moto M with the #comingsoon hashtag. The second tweet from the company confirms that the M series is indeed coming to India.
The Moto M is the first device in the series and sports a full metal unibody design. The phone sports a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with full-HD resolution with a pixel density of 401PPI. The 2.5D glass has no mention of any protection on top. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P15 Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and has 4GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage on the phone and is expandable via a MicroSD card slot up to 128GB. The Moto M is a dual SIM phone and has a Hybrid SIM slot so you’ll have to choose between a MicroSD card and a Micro SIM in the second slot.

The Moto M has a 16-megapixel PDAF camera at the back along with a dual LED flash. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and may be updated to Android Nougat after launch. It sports the fingerprint sensor on the back as opposed to the front placement on other Motorola phones. The phone has a USB Type-C port and packs in a non-removable 3050mAh battery and may come with a fast charger in the box.
