Motorola One Action to launch in India on August 23rd

Last week, Motorola held a launch event in Brazil to announce the Motorola One Action. The Lenovo-own company has now officially confirmed that it will be launching the One Action in India on August 23rd.  The handset comes with a unique camera through which users can capture videos in landscape videos while holding it vertically. The feature is dubbed as ‘Action Camera’ by Motorola. The smartphone will be exclusively available through Flipkart in India.

Motorola One Action Specifications and Features

The Motorola One Action features a 21:9 CinemaVision display measuring 6.3 inches. It sports 1,080 x 2,520 pixels full HD+ resolution. The IPS LCD panel has a punch-hole at its top-left corner for the front-facing camera. The One Action is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9609 that promises performance equivalent to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660.

The SoC of the smartphone is coupled with 4GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 128GB. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot available. The 3,500mAh battery of the phone supports standard 10W charging. It is an Android One phone that offers a stock experience of Android 9 Pie. The handset is guaranteed to receive Android Q and Android R updates.


The vertical triple camera setup consists of a 12-megapixel primary with f/1.8 aperture and a large pixel size of 1.2micron. This is followed by an ultrawide 117-degree 16-megapixel lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The 16-megapixel Action Camera comes with enhanced video stabilisation for shooting jerk-free horizontal videos while holding the handset vertically. The front camera is a 12MP unit.

The One Action’s fingerprint scanner is integrated in the ‘M’ logo placed on the rear shell of the device. Other features include a single speaker with Dolby Audio support, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Motorola One Action Price

The Motorola One Action comes in two colour options such as Denim Blue and Pearl. In Europe, it carries a price tag of €259 (~Rs 20,550). The smartphone is expected to be priced around Rs 20,000 in India.
