Multiple reports in the past have indicated that Lenovo-owned Motorola is planning to launch a new One series phone, which is expected to arrive as the Motorola One Hyper. The One Hyper is rumoured to arrive as the company’s first smartphone to flaunt a pop-up selfie camera. Ahead of the launch, a couple of live images of the device were leaked on the interwebs, which revealed its design. Most recently, the Motorola One Hyper was certified by the Federal Communications Commission, which suggested towards an imminent launch. Now, Motorola has officially confirmed that the One Hyper will be released at an event in Brazil on December 3rd.
The teaser image for the Motorola One Hyper’s launch event doesn’t reveal the name of the smartphone. However, the photo does include a sketch of a phone that has a pop-up selfie camera. The earlier leaked images of the Motorola One Hyper also showed off a pop-up lens towards the top-right corner of the handset. No other details regarding the smartphone’s features have been revealed by the brand at the moment.
Motorola One Hyper specifications and features
According to the earlier leaked photos, the Motorola One Hyper will have slim bezels on all the sides of the screen. At the rear, the smartphone is expected to come with a dual primary camera setup. The camera module will be placed on the top-left corner of the handset. The back of the device will be curved towards the sides, and it will have a fingerprint sensor in the middle towards the top.
As for the specifications, the Motorola One Hyper is expected to offer a 6.4-inch display with full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 675 processor, which will be aided by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. For imaging, the device is said to offer a 64MP main camera on the back, which will be accompanied by an 8MP secondary snapper. The primary camera module is tipped to be able to record 4K videos at 30fps. The other rumoured specs include a 3.5mm headphone socket, Android 10, and a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
