Motorola’s first quad-camera phone, the One Zoom could launch in India on September 16th

Lenovo-owned Motorola has announced that it will be holding a product launch event in India on September 16th. The company hasn’t yet revealed the name of the device it will be unveiling at the event. The press invite-only mentions “Motorola is bringing you something BIG, something different, something unique”. However, speculations suggest that the brand could launch the Motorola One Zoom in the country at the event, which has recently been unveiled at IFA 2019.

The Motorola One Zoom that’s expected to launch in India later month is the company’s first phone to flaunt four primary cameras at the rear. The handset has a 48MP primary camera with Quad Pixel tech at the back, aided by an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has been fitted with 25MP shooter that resides inside the waterdrop notch above the screen.

As for the other specs, the Motorola One Zoom features an in-display fingerprint sensor, and its Moto dimple at the rear doubles as an LED flash unit, which is a first for the brand. The handset is equipped with a 6.4-inch Max Vision OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, and is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 675 processor. Under the hood, there’s 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

Software-wise, the Motorola One Zoom boots Android 9 Pie with some Moto enhancements out of the box. The Android One offering is guaranteed to get the Android 10 update soon, and two more major software upgrades after that. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. A 4,000mAh battery with 15W TurboPower fast charging capabilities keeps the whole show running.

As of now, there’s no word on the pricing of the Motorola One Zoom for India. However, we do know that it is priced at $449.99 (~Rs 32,300) in the United States.
