Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra India launches have been officially confirmed. The brand began teasing the arrival of the Razr 40 series last week. However, it is only today that the Lenovo-owned brand officially confirmed that the vanilla and the Ultra models will be released in the Indian market.
To recall, the company announced the Razr 40 series of smartphones for the global market and China on June 1st, 2023. However, it is not clear whether the company plans to hold a dedicated launch event in India. The Razr 40 series will rival the OPPO Find N2 Flip and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the country.

Motorola is yet to confirm the Razr 40 series launch date for India. However, it is confirmed that the Razr 40 lineup will be available for purchase through Amazon, Motorola.in, Reliance Digital, and other retailers. The brand will also soon confirm the price and availability of the Razr 40 series in the coming days.
Motorola Razr 40, Razr 40 Ultra specifications
The Razr 40 is equipped with a 6.9-inch pOLED LTPO foldable FHD+ display. The same-sized foldable screen is available on the Razr Ultra. However, these devices support different refresh rates of 144Hz and 165Hz, respectively. Both models have a 32-megapixel camera positioned in the display punch-hole.
On the back, the Razr 40 features a 1.5-inch pOLED cover screen, whereas the Razr 40 Ultra has the largest cover screen on a flip phone, measuring 3.6 inches. The Ultra variant’s cover screen also supports a 165 Hz refresh rate. Both devices have a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and they come preloaded with Android 13 in its cleanest form.
The Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra have a dual-camera setup on their backs. The vanilla model has an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel primary camera, whereas the Ultra variant has a 12-megapixel primary camera with OIS support. Both phones are equipped with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, which also doubles up as a macro camera.
The Razr 40 features the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, whereas the Razr 40 Ultra has the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The vanilla model has up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 4,200mAh battery. The Ultra handset is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 3,800mAh battery. Both devices offer 30W wired charging and 5W wireless charging.
