Motorola razr with 6.2-inch foldable display and Snapdragon 710 launched in India for Rs 1,24,999

In November 2019, Motorola launched the Motorola razr flip phone with a foldable screen. The device was a modern update to the popular Moto Razr clamshell feature phone that was launched in 2003. The razr flip phone has a P-OLED foldable screen that offers a tall aspect ratio. It features a second display outside that can be used for checking notifications. The main camera of the phone has been optimised to capture brighter shots in dim lighting conditions.

The p-OLED display of the Motorola razr (unboxing) measures 6.2-inches. It offers a tall aspect ratio of 21:9 and it delivers a resolution of 2,142 x 876 pixels. The display has a notch that houses an f/2.0 aperture 5-megapixel selfie camera. The thick-sized chin of the device features a capacitive fingerprint reader.

For folding and unfolding the phone, there is a stainless-steel hinge placed underneath the screen. The glass bodied phone has a splash-resistant coating. When folded, it measures 94.5 x 71.95 x 14.06mm. The Quick View screen which can be viewed when the device is closed measures 2.69-inches and features a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. The Quick View display is powered by Google Assistant for quick responses to incoming messages. The content of the flexible screen can transition to the outer display and vice-versa.

The Snapdragon 710 mobile platform powers the Motorola razr phone along with 6GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 128GB. The phone runs Android 9 Pie and comes with a few extras including a Retro razr mode, that replicates the look and feel of the original Moto razr.

Below the Quick View display of the Motorola razr is a dual-LED flash assisted 16-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture. It is coupled with features like Dual Pixel autofocus, laser autofocus, Night Vision and EIS. The phone houses a 2,510mAh battery that is coupled with 15W TurboPower fast charging technology. The other features that can be found on the new razr are an e-SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and USB-C. The handset does not offer wireless charging, a 3.5mm audio jack ormicroSD card slot.

Motorola razr price in India

The Motorola razr has arrived with a price tag of Rs 1,24,999 in India. The handset comes in a single colour of Noir Black. The phone is packaged in a special box that includes headphones and a Type-C to 3.5mm cable. It is currently available for pre-bookings and will be available for purchase starting from April 2nd via Flipkart. Motorola is also offering Rs 10,000 cashback for Citibank debit and credit card users, double data and double recharge for Jio users and a discounted Moto Care accident and damage protection plan.
