Recent reports have claimed that Motorola is working on a ThinkPhone-branded smartphone. Speculations are rife that the Motorola handset with model number XT2309 will debut as the ThinkPhone in some markets, while other regions may receive it as the Motorola Edge 40 Fusion. Publication TheTechOutlook has shared the leaked renders of the Motorola ThinkPhone. In addition, it has also shared key details on its specifications.
In terms of design, the Motorola ThinkPhone will sport a punch-hole display on the front, an aluminium frame, and an aramid fibre inlay body, according to its leaked renders. It will measure 158.7 x 74.4 x 8.3mm and weigh around 189 grams. Here is a look at the specifications of the ThinkPhone.

The Motorola ThinkPhone will feature a 6.6-inch P-OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,200 nits of brightness, HDR+, and a DCI-P3 colour gamut. It will ship with Android 13 OS and an under-display fingerprint scanner for security.
The ThinkPhone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and 8GB / 12GB of RAM. It will offer 128GB / 256GB / 512GB of storage. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery that will support 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
On the front, the Motorola ThinkPhone will feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel will house a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view, and a depth sensor. The device will offer other features such as dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, up to 8K video recording at 30 fps, 5G connectivity, file transfer to laptops over a wireless connection for screen sharing and multi-tasking, and an IP68-rated chassis.
Lenovo, the parent brand of Motorola, uses the “ThinkPad” branding for business-oriented notebooks. Hence, it is likely that the ThinkPhone may also come equipped with some business-focused features. The publication claims that the ThinkPhone may break cover in 2023. It will be available in Satin Black colour only.
