MSI Refreshes Its Gaming Laptops With 9th-Gen Intel Core chipsets and Nvidia GTX 16 series GPUs

MSI, a computer hardware manufacturer has upgraded a slew of laptops aimed at gamers. The entire range of laptops now come with the latest Intel processors and Nvidia graphics cards. The lineup consists of GT, GS, GE, GP, GL, and GF series.

Speaking on the announcement, Chang-Ching Lin, Regional Marketing Manager said, “We are excited to announce that MSI is the first brand to debut the 9th Gen. Intel® Core™ i9 Processors in the gaming series. Furthermore, the GTX 16 series graphics cards will provide a more affordable graphics solution for gamers while still attaining a high levels of performance. With these new additions to our product portfolio, we not only aim at offering gamers the best experience but also want to make gaming more inclusive. India is a key focus market for MSI and we will continue to bring in our latest line of products in the country in line with the global launches.”          

Let’s take a look at the technical specifications of each laptop below:

GT Titan:

The GT Titan is MSI’s luxury flagship-level gaming laptop with powerful features. The laptop houses the latest 9th Gen Core i9 processor with overclocking capabilities. It is paired with up to GeForce RTX 2080 8GB GDDR6 graphics card. The GT Titan offers multiple terabytes of SSD storage. The laptop is equipped with exclusive Cooler Boost Titan, dual fans, and 11 pipes which aid in reducing the operating temperature.

The GT Titan sports a 17.3-inch display and can be availed in either FHD or 4K resolution. It features a RGB backlit mechanical keyboard designed by Steel Series.

GS Stealth:

The MSI GS Stealth comes in two models, GS75 and GS65. The former sports a 17.3-inch FHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate while the later features a 15.6-inch display size available in either 240Hz (for maximizing frame rates) or 144Hz refresh rate. The display on both the variants is surrounded by thin bezels on all four sides.

In terms of internals, the GS Stealth borrows most of the hardware from the GT Titan. However, this machine comes in multiple variants in terms of graphics ranging from the RTX 2080 with Max-Q design to the GTX 16 series.

GE Series:

The GE Series includes two devices namely GE75 Rider and GE63 Rider RGB. The former comes in the 17.3-inch display while the later has a 15.6-inch display. Both the models bear FHD resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate. The GE series is powered by up to 9th Gen Core i7 processor paired with up to RTX 2080 GPU onboard. The MSI GE75 is touted to be the company’s first laptop with Wi-Fi 6 capability which provides faster network and speeds.

GP Series:

The GP Series is an affordable laptop aimed at budget gamers. The GP75 flaunts a new cosmological warship style design and misty grey colour. It features a per-key RGB keyboard with Steel Series. The GP75 Leopard sports a 17.3-inch FHD display. It is also equipped with the latest 9th Gen Core i7 processor and up to RTX 2060 Nvidia graphics card.

GL Series:

The GL series has multiple variants in terms of graphics ranging from the RTX series to GTX-16 series. According to the company, the GL series is a good option for mainstream gamers and can handle most of the AAA titles with ease. The GL series comes with a 15.6-inch FHD display and features a 120Hz refresh rate. Like many other laptops, it has an RGB backlit keyboard as well as an optional red backlight keyboard.

GF Thin:

Finally, the MSI GF Thin is a compact and lightweight laptop. It is still equipped with the latest 9th Gen Core i7 CPU. The chipset is paired with up to GTX 1650 4GB GDDR graphics card. The GF Thin75 boasts a 17.3-inch display while the GF63 comes with a 15.6-inch display. Both bear a FHD resolution and offer a red backlight gaming keyboard. The GF75 weighs 2.2 kg while the GF63 measures 1.86kg on weighing scale.

Pricing & Availability:

The price of MSI’s latest gaming laptops start from Rs 77,900 going all the way up to Rs 3,99,990. The updates are mostly in the form of the latest 9th Gen Core processors and Nvidia’s RTX and GTX chips. The laptops have been available for purchase since April 23rd at MSI exclusive stores across the country, and major e-commerce platforms Flipkart and Amazon.
