The computer hardware manufacturer, MSI just unveiled its latest launches at the ongoing CES 2020. The company launched a slew of gaming laptops along with a couple of creator notebooks. The lineup consists of MSI GS66 Stealth, GE66 Raider, GE66 Dragonshield limited edition, and Creator 17. Of these, the first two laptops are gaming-oriented notebooks with never-heard-before 300Hz display and massive 99.9Wh batteries. Here’s what they offer in terms of features and specifications.
MSI GS66 Stealth and GE66 Raider specifications and features
The MSI GS66 Stealth comes with a black chassis and RGB LED lighting limited only to the full-sized keyboard. The MSI GE66 Raider, on the other hand, comes with more prominent gaming design featuring extra ports and “panoramic aurora lighting”, which casts the rainbow lights along the bottom of the laptop. MSI is offering both the Stealth and Raider with an option of a 300Hz display. And if you are worried about the battery consumption of the screen, they both come with a massive 99.9Wh cell. If you are wondering why the brand chose such a specific battery strength, it’s because the standard limit of battery allowed on an aeroplane is 100W. Therefore, since the batteries on these laptops are just under 100Wh, they can be taken on flights.
Coming to the core specifications, both MSI GS66 Stealth and GE66 Raider ship with 15.6-inch screens. In the performance department, MSI is offering configurations with up to 10th Gen Intel Core i9 H-series processors. As of now, there is no word on the GPU except that they come with the latest Nvidia RTX series. There are reports that both these laptops will feature up to 32GB RAM and up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage options. Unfortunately, the company has not confirmed these or revealed any other specifications of details of the new launches.
