Well, the MWC 2017 is just around the corner – everyone in the tech industry is getting ready for the tech festival including Gionee. The Chinese smartphone maker is also warming up to launch two new smartphones from its A-series. These two phones are – Gionee A1 and Gionee A1 Plus.
The company has already started giving out the media invites for the unveiling ceremony of the phone which is scheduled on 27th February at MWC Barcelona. Although Gionee hasn’t said anything about the specs of the phone, but the specs of Gionee A1 were allegedly leaked last month.
According to the leak, the Gionee A1 is said to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display also gets 2.5D glass with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the top. It is rumoured to equipped with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM. The device is supposed to come with 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB with a MicroSD card.
It is said to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box which will be shrouded under Amigo OS 4.0. Talking about the camera section, the Gionee gets a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and a 16-megapixel front facing camera for capturing selfies. Both front and rear cameras are accompanied with LED flash. The phone is also rumoured to integrate a fingerprint scanner into the home button. It packs in a 4010mAh battery and gets all the connectivity feature including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G VoLTE and a micro-USB port.
