Here’s how to find a vaccine slot through the MyJio app

According to Jio, the MyJio app fetches information on the available COVID-19 vaccination slots from the CoWin website integration. Users can search for a vaccine by entering their pin code or district and then filter the search by using options like Dose (Dose 1 or Dose 2), age (18+ or 45+), Vaccine (Covishield, Covaxin, or Sputnik), and cost (free or paid).

There is a toggle available that allows users to see only available slots. One gripe about the vaccine finder tool by the MyJio app is that after finding a vaccine slot, it again requires users to visit the CoWin site within the app to book a slot.

How to find COVID-19 vaccine slots using MyJio app

Here are the steps to find a COVID-19 vaccination slot through the MyJio app:

  • Launch the MyJio app, scroll down and tap on the banner for the COVID-19 vaccine finder
  • Alternatively, users can type “Vaccine” in the search bar to find the tool
  • Once the Vaccine Finder tool is launched, users can search vaccine slots by entering a PIN code or by district
  • Users can make use of search filters like dose, age, vaccine, and cost
  • After hitting the Search button, it will show the list of available slots
  • Users can click on each date to see the availability of a COVID-19 vaccine in the desired area
  • Once the desired vaccination center is found, the user can click on the “Book on CoWin” button to book the vaccine
  • The CoWin website will open inside the MyJio, whereas users will have to enter a mobile number and OTP to book a vaccine.

In related news, Paytm recently introduced its COVID-19 vaccine finder tool. Unlike the MyJio app, Paytm users can not only find vaccine slots but also book a slot within the app without the need of visiting of CoWin site.
