Like the other quiz on MyGov website, the Patriotic Quiz on Republic Day 2021 also has a total of 20 questions. The participants will get a total of 300 seconds or 5 minutes to answer all the questions. This is a timed quiz and if you don’t know the answer to a particular question, you can skip and come back to it later.

Each question technically has a score of one and you can get a maximum score of 20. If two or more participants are tied with the same score then the participant taking the least amount of time to answer all the questions will be chosen as the winner.

With Republic Day 2021 just around the corner, the Patriotic Quiz is being held by MyGov in collaboration with the Ministry of Education & Defence. This online quiz competition is joined by essay competition and poetry competition on the theme of “Indian constitution, struggle for freedom, warriors of Indian independence”.

The start date of Patriotic Quiz on Republic Day 2021 is January 20th and will conclude on January 30th, 2021. Any individual can participate only once in the competition. All one needs to do is answer all the 20 questions correctly in 300 seconds. The MyGov website notes that questions will be randomly selected using a question bank.

All the participants will receive a participation certificate and the winners will be adjudged on the basis of maximum number of correct answers. In case of tie, the factor deciding the winner will be the time taken to answer all the questions. The website says the criteria for selecting winners is “Maximum Correct The participant taking the least amount of time to answer all the questions correctly will be selected as winner.

The MyGov website notes that the participation in this quiz is voluntary and it is designed to test your knowledge ahead of Republic Day. You will be required to provide your name, email address, telephone number and postal address. When you share these details, you give consent to these details being used for the quiz.   3. One entrant can participate only once and there will be no negative marking.

  6. The organisers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the quiz at any time.
  7. If multiple participants have the same number of correct answers then the participant who took the least amount of time will be adjusted as the winner.

MyGov Essay and Patriotic Poetry Writing Competition

In addition to Patriotic Quiz, MyGov is also running Essay and Poetry Writing competition. This competition is held from January 20th, 2021 to January 30th, 2021. The themes of essay and patriotic poetry writing competition are:

  • Indian Constitution & Democracy
  • Struggle for Independence
  • Warriors of Indian independence.
  • True meaning of celebration of Republic day

This essay and poetry writing competition is meant for students of classes VI to XII from schools under CBSE, KVS, NVS, NIOS and all school boards/SCERTs at the State/UT Level. The essay should be within 1,500 word limit while the poem should be within 100 word limit. The participants must submit their write-up only in PDF file format.

The write-up can be in English or Hindi with font size 12 for English and font size 14 for Hindi. The line spacing should be set at 1.15 only. The mention of the author’s name or email anywhere in the body will lead to disqualification.
