The MyGov Trophy Design Competition for India Smart Cities Awards (ISAC) 2020 is a competition being held in conjunction with ISAC. The India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC) is organised under the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India (SCM, MoHUA-GoI). The government terms it as one of the important activities to pioneer city strategies, projects and ideas that are recognised based on innovation, impact and replicability or scalability.

The Smart Cities Mission aims to “build cities for people” and uses approaches such as digital and information technologies, urban planning best practices, public-private partnerships, and policy change. With this competition, your goal should be to design a trophy that is befitting to this mission. The competition is being held as part of tasks, which is one of the two engaging sections on the MyGov platform.

The last date of submission for this contest is March 20th, 2021 and at the time of writing, there are already 393 submissions. The winner of this contest will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 50,000. The objective of the competition is to design a trophy that aptly embodies the spirit of smartness, innovation, technology, sustainability and above all, building cities for people.

MyGov Trophy Design Competition for India Smart Cities Awards (ISAC) 2020: eligibility criteria, time period and prizes to win

The MyGov Trophy Design Competition for India Smart Cities Awards (ISAC) 2020 contest is open to all the citizens of India. While this is an open contest, those associated with the organising committee or part of Smart Cities Mission are not eligible to participate. Similarly, the family members of those associated with the organising committee are also not eligible to take part in this competition.

The competition is being held till March 20th and the winner will be rewarded with a prize of Rs 50,000. Both a single person or a team can make their submission for this contest. The participants should update their MyGov profile and update details such as name, address, contact details & email address before submitting their entry.

MyGov Trophy Design Competition for India Smart Cities Awards (ISAC) 2020: how to participate

In order to participate, the contestants must submit their entries as a MyGov task. If you submit your entries through any other medium or mode then it will neither be entertained nor considered for evaluation. So, here is how you can actually participate:

  • Go to the contest link page.
  • Click on the Login to Participate option.
  • If you are a registered user then Login using your Email ID or Mobile Number.
  • If you are a new user then click on the “Register Now” button and create your account first.
  • Once you login, you will be able to submit your Essay on Tryst with Destiny.

MyGov Trophy Design Competition for India Smart Cities Awards (ISAC) 2020: terms and conditions

  1. Each entry is free of cost.
  2. Each entry must include a description in not more than 500 words.
  3. Participants can also upload any image file or pdf file if required (optional).
  4. The participants should send in an annexure form with their submission on MyGov.
  5. The department may ask for the original and uncompressed file, if so required, in separate communication.
  6. The trophy design must adhere to the mission of the smart cities project.
  7. Participants will be judged on authenticity, theme, clarity of design, discipline, timing and presentation.
  8. The decision of the judges will be final and binding under all circumstances.
  9. If two participants are found equally good, they may be declared as joint winners for the event.
