Mystery POCO smartphone appears on BIS database


  • The phone could potentially break cover over the next few weeks
  • It’s unknown if this is another rebranded Xiaomi smartphone
  • POCO is also on course to release the X5 Pro 5G and the X5 5G soon


Xiaomi subsidiary POCO enjoys a decent presence in the Indian smartphone market. We learned about the imminent arrival of the POCO X5 Pro 5G and the X5 5G earlier this month. Well, another POCO smartphone has leaked out through the BIS certification database bearing the model number 22127PC95I.

This mystery POCO device was first spotted by @stufflistings, a.k.a Mukul Sharma. Unfortunately, the model number is just about everything we know about this smartphone as of now.

Since it has already appeared in the BIS database, it will likely debut over the next few weeks. Like previous POCO phones, this unnamed device could be an existing Xiaomi phone in different packaging.

Meanwhile, POCO’s parent company Xiaomi is currently running the Mi Fan Festival sale with phones like the Xiaomi 12 Pro selling at a discount of Rs 15,000. The sale also includes more affordable devices such as the Redmi K50i, Redmi 11 Prime 5G, and the Redmi A1. Xiaomi is also offering exciting discounts on its laptops and Smart TVs.

Xiaomi is expecting a solid start to 2023 courtesy of the recently launched Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro flagships, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC underneath. The lineup also supports up to 12GB of RAM and a 4,820mAh battery with support for 120W fast wired charging and impressive 50W wireless charging.
