National Cinema Day: Watch Brahmastra and Other Movies at just Rs 75; here’s How to Book Tickets

Multiplex Association of India (MIA) is celebrating September 23 as National Cinema Day. MIA is offering movie tickets at just Rs 75 across 4,000 screens to commemorate this occasion. So if you are planning to watch Brahmastra or any other movie this weekend, MIA has a treat for you.

Previously the National Cinema Day was planned for September 16, but for unknown reasons, it was rescheduled to September 23. Interestingly, on regular days, movie tickets in any theatre range between Rs 300 and Rs 500, with premium and recliner seats costing between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500. However, just Rs 75 for a movie is great news for cinephiles.

How to Book Movie Tickets at just Rs 75? 

  • First, go to the multiplex’s app or websites, such as PVR Cinemas or Wave. Alternatively, you can also use ticket booking websites such as BookMyShow or Paytm
  • If you are booking the tickets via mobile, then installing an app will give a better experience than a mobile browser. After you have opened the app or website, you will have to register or login with your credentials 
  • Choose your city, and navigate to the movie section
  • Select the movie that you want to watch and make sure that you have selected today’s date, which is September 23 
  • Now select time that is convenient to you and the seat that you prefer
  • Navigate to the payment page, make the payment, and you are good to go

Pro Tip: BookMyShow and other apps including native apps of movie chains charge additional internet costs (convenience fees) and GST. This would mean that you will end up paying more than Rs 75 per ticket. Therefore, it is advisable that you check the availability online and head to the cinema hall to book tickets physically.
