Based on Vaikom Muhammad Basheer’s renowned short story of the same name, the film is also a reboot of the 1964 Malayalam film Bhargavi Nilayam. The film delves into the story of Unnikrishnan, a young writer invited to stay in a reputedly haunted mansion owned by wealthy businessman Kochukrishnan. Sceptical at first, Unnikrishnan soon finds himself facing increasingly eerie and unsettling experiences within the mansion’s walls. As the plot unfolds, he realizes that the ghost of Bhargavi, a young woman who tragically took her own life after a love betrayal, is trying to convey a message to him.
